– Development of at least 100 GW of nuclear power by 2047.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made a big announcement for the middle class in the budget. Now there will be no tax on income up to Rs. 12 lakh. A new tax slab will now be applicable for people with income more than Rs. 12 lakh.
– No tax for Rs. 0-4 lakh
– 5 percent tax for Rs. 4-8 lakh
– 10 percent tax for Rs. 8-12 lakh
– 15 percent tax for Rs. 12-16 lakh
– 20 percent tax for Rs. 16-20 lakh
– 25 percent tax for Rs. 20-24 lakh
– 30 percent tax above Rs. 24 lakh

The limit of ITR and TDS has been increased. The limit of TDS has been increased to 10 lakhs. A big announcement has been made for the elderly in tax deduction, they will be able to file returns for four years. The tax exemption for senior citizens has been doubled. The exemption has been increased from 50 thousand to 1 lakh.

– Clothes woven by weavers will become cheaper. Leather goods will become cheaper. Custom duty on marine products has been reduced from 30 to 5 percent.
– Custom duty on frozen fish paste has been reduced from 15 to 5 percent.

– Life saving medicines will become cheaper. Cancer medicines will become cheaper. Prices of LED-LCD TVs will decrease. Custom duty on these has been reduced. Lithium ion batteries will become cheaper. EV and mobile batteries will become cheaper.

– Gig workers working for online platforms will be registered on the e-shram portal and given identity cards and will be provided health facilities under the PM Jan Arogya Yojana. About 1 crore gig workers will benefit from this.
– The scheme for the upliftment of urban workers will be implemented to increase the income of urban poor and deprived groups, sustainable livelihood and better living.
– PM Swanidhi Yojana will be improved to take more loans from banks, UPI Linked Credit Card with a limit of thirty thousand rupees and to help in capacity building.

FDI limit for insurance sector has been increased. Day care centers will be opened in all government hospitals. Patna IIT hostel will be expanded. Prices of life saving medicines will be reduced. Custom duty has been reduced on 6 life saving medicines. Medicines for cancer treatment will become cheaper. Custom duty has been removed from 36 life saving medicines.

– A plant with an annual capacity of 12.7 lakh metric tonnes will be set up in Namrup, Assam.
– Three closed urea plants in the eastern region have been reopened, a step towards self-sufficiency in urea production.

Focus product scheme will be launched for footwear and leather sectors. Possibility of generating employment for 22 lakh people, turnover of Rs 4 lakh crore and exports of Rs 1.1 lakh crore.

50,000 Atal Tinkering Labs will be set up in government schools in the next five years to promote curiosity, innovation and scientific temper in young minds.

Udaan scheme announced for 120 new places. The target is to add 4 crore new passengers through Udaan scheme. New field airports will open in Bihar. Small airports and helipads will be built in hilly areas.

Nirmala Sitharaman said that the government is going to extend the Jal Jeevan Mission till 2028. The government’s goal is to provide tap water to every home.

Nirmala Sitharaman made big announcements for gig workers in the budget. 1 crore gig workers will get social security. They will be registered on the e-shram portal.

Makhana Board formed in Bihar, food processing plant will be set up in Bihar. The limit of Kisan Credit Card has been increased from 3 lakhs to 5 lakhs. 100 districts will be linked to Dhan Dhanya Yojana. Crop diversification, irrigation facilities and loans will help 1.7 crore farmers. In the plan to achieve self-sufficiency in pulses, special attention will be given to tur, urad, masoor. Under the Dhan Dhanya Yojana, NAFED and NCCF will buy pulses from farmers.
